Speak about Seasons in India

India has four seasons: summer, monsoon, post-monsoon (autumn), and winter. The timing and duration of these seasons can vary depending on the region of the country.

  1. Summer: The summer season in India lasts from March to June. The temperature during this season can be quite high, with some regions experiencing temperatures above 40°C. The southern parts of India are relatively cooler during summers.

  2. Monsoon: The monsoon season in India starts in June and lasts till September. This is a very important season in India as it brings rainfall to the country, which is essential for agriculture. The monsoon winds usually arrive in the southern part of the country by the end of May and gradually advance to other regions.

  3. Post-monsoon (Autumn): The post-monsoon season in India occurs from October to November. During this season, the weather is relatively cooler and pleasant, and the skies are clearer.

  4. Winter: The winter season in India starts from December and lasts until February. During this season, the northern parts of India can experience very cold temperatures, with some areas even experiencing snowfall. The southern parts of India, on the other hand, have a relatively mild winter.
